Hyd Air is one of the leading and the pioneering companies which supplied German technology-enabled Hydraulic and Fluid connections for Heavy Industries in India. From Steel Plants to Defence, to Ship-building and machine tools , Agriculture Machine to Earthmoving Equipment manufacturer across several Industries -Hyd Air Engineering parts and components have been the base of several projects, processes and machinery in the Indian Industry for over 50 years.

About the Company

Setting its foundation in 1969 as Hyd – Air Engineering Works, became the pioneer manufacturer of hydraulic fittings in India.

It was Mr. Nadir Karachiwala’s vision in the late 60s that laid the groundwork for Hyd – Air Engineering Works in 1969. Mr. Karachiwala, saw the potential in the Pipe and Hydraulic Fittings for the Indian Market.

The Company changed its name to Hyd Air Engineering Pvt Ltd in the year 1981, with modern facilities established at M.I.D.C. – Mumbai.

Subsequently, because of increased in market demand – a brand new Manufacturing Unit was set up at M.I.D.C, Chakan – Pune.

This new unit has modern facilities and latest testing equipment to ensure the superior quality of Products Having a world -class manufacturing facility in Chakan -Pune, Hyd – Air has become a benchmark for providing products & fittings across several industries and to various Government and Private sector companies in Industries across India.

Today, the company has completed over 50 years in the Industry and is the leading producer of Hydraulic Pipe/Tube Fittings, Instrumentation fittings , Double Ferrule Fittings Pipe Clamps, SAE Flanges, Valves, Quick Dis- Connect Couplings, Minimess Coupling with the added advantage of having In-house Product Testing facilities.

Profile of Chairman

Founder, Chairman and Managing Director , Mr. Nadir S. Karachiwala is a graduate of R.W.T.H Aachen University, Germany.

Extensively associated with German engineering industries, he is an engineering professional turned Entrepreneur.

He was associated with Bureau of Indian Standard for many years and played a key role in the development of Industry Standards which were implemented under his Guidance.

He Chaired the Steering Committee of Bureaus of Indian Standards (BIS) of Pipe Fittings and Hose Connectors until retirement.

His contribution has been actively known to be associated with planning, developments of quality standards for fittings and hydraulic fluid connectors throughout the country.
